Ginger is a stong deep aromatic oil that blends well with citrus and other herbaceous oils. Historically sailors chewed ginger to alleviate nausea therfore it is often used in travel remedies. In China the 1000 year tradition of zuo yue zi (1 month confinement) ginger is used postnatally (after childbirth) in rubs, baths and infusions to aid healing and to invigorate the mother after birth. Anecdotally it is used to treat arthritis, digestive upset, colds and migraines. Ginger is a warming and soothing oil excellent for massage and in baths. Blends well with black pepper, citrus, geranium and lavender.

How to Use

Spread the love

Add 8-10 drops in a vaporiser and fill it with water. Other methods of use: massage, bath and spa, inhalation and household cleaning.

Dilute prior to use on skin.
